Art and Humans

A Soul of a Flying Bird

Happiness, sadness, love, metamorphosis, evolution and freedom are unique elements of human emotions … This is the beginning of the end, or it just a moment of essentiality. Coexistence of art and human being and an evolutionary existence of time and space.
We all want to be free as “A soul of a flying bird”.

ART WITH NO RULES

A Mythical Journey through the Paintings

of Reghina Gunzurevscaia

As an artist i believe that art has no limitations, no rules, no musts, no maybes, no borders, no discrimination, no age, no country, not to die for or to kill for, no politicians, no lies, no truth, no white, no black.… But it has something that represents freedom, an unlimited imagination and a magical journey to any place you wish to travel. When I was growing up in the Soviet Union, I was observing people and I could see their fears and their uncertainty, so I started to express all the emotions that I have seen and felt through my paintings.

I saw people hiding their emotions and their fear was like a big grey cloud surrounding all of us. This environment forced me to turn inward. Then I discovered that I could transform all of my thoughts and emotions into my art. The more I looked inward, the more intricate my life became. I started painting birds and planets which symbolized freedom and movement. Through my paintings I want to give the same freedom to the people around me.

I am currently living in the beautiful and historic Greek island of Naxos, the largest of the Cycladic islands. Naxos has many abandoned places like the village of Skados, castles and other mountain locations that provide abundant artistic inspiration. My most recent painting, done with my characteristic ink and ink pen (in which i hide symbols and words), is called “New World.”

This is a great symbolism of our planet with its two sides like human souls. The intense and colorful side is the one which transfers the viewer to another side of skepticism, complexity and invisibly omnipresent shadows. Its two eyes, the clock and its sound are the only present existence. Humans connected with the reflection of the unending passage to the parallel planets and the illusion leading to an unlimited existence in the finite world. Nearby stars and planets cast their watching reflection upon the Earth whose inhabitants are poised to fly away like a butterfly seeking a new, unknowable existence in another level of the stratosphere. It is a “New World.”

Most of time I paint in front of people. I am painting only through a complete observation toward human emotions, there is no “Ego” but only metaphors and meaningful hidden words, numbers and symbols. Art is colorful, meaningful and magical. And the point is to discover through the colors, shapes and figures what is your life’s journey about.  I have often seen people smile and cry in the same few moments because art unlocks those feelings which are the essence of our unique humanity.

Some of the amazing places I have painted in front of people are in a Castle in Naxos in which I represented as well a short art movie I have made in Berlin during my studies as filmmaker entitled “A Soul of a Flying Bird.” I have painted at the historic Sacré-Cœur in Paris where so many of the world’s most famous artists created their famous works, at the very unique Mauer Park in Berlin and on the stunning Zen beach of Ko Pha Ngan in Thailand. Each of these experiences has greatly enhanced my appreciation of nature and the world around me.

There is no yesterday and no tomorrow, but only “now”. Enjoy the moment of it and you will see and feel the magic…

Happiness, sadness, love, metamorphosis, evolution and freedom are unique elements of human emotions.  Coexistence of Art and Human and the evolutionary existence of time and space. We all want to be free as a soul of a flying bird

Understanding the painter

Paintings

Art with no rules

“If you really want to understand the painter then just look at his Art”.

Finding your freedom

The good thing about being a painter is because in my paintings i tell exactly what i feel and observe. I have nothing to hide, i do not have to play roles, or change my self for others, i do not pretend, i have nothing to fight about, i do not feel forced to do what i don’t want, i have nothing to prove to anyone, i don’t have to become a “perfect Human” in order to be accepted in our “Human society”,  i do not have a feeling  of a great prisoner and all this is because i found my self lucky  to be a painter and to have this ability to enjoy my freedom at list the moment of creativity.
